This concept has been very effective for me and for literally thousands of users.

Well long story short, I have found another program which I think you’ll find very helpful. It complements The Golf Swing Secret videos very nicely and used together, these two programs are certain to drastically improve your golf swing, your short game and your score. The product I’m speaking about is ‘The Amazing Golf Mind”.

The Amazing golf mind consists of four subliminal mental audios: Full Swing, Short Game, Putting and Tournament Success. These audios are in MP3 format and are easily downloaded within minutes of purchase to your computer. You can transfer them to your MP3 player, burn a CD or listen to them on your PC. The audios are very flexible and very effective.

Imagine a product that will improve your game while you relax or sleep. Just listen to these audios 3-4 times a week and you will see improvement.

Use them in conjunction with The Golf Swing Secret and you’re going to amaze yourself and your friends!

You can always send me YOUR questions here: Ben@TheGolfSwingSecret.com

Tony wrote:

You seem to advocate taking the club straight back parallel to the target line then it goes straight up to the top. I see swings on the tour like steve stricker’s that looks like it goes more around than up ?

My reply:
Typically the more around or flatter your swing happens to be… the more rotational you have to be to be a consistent ball striker.

When you swing flatter or around your body, lateral motion is a killer. I don’t really advocate either upright or flat… What I do try teach in The Golf Swing Secret is to take drill #1 in the program and using ball flight as your guide, blend your arm swing and turn together in a manner that will work consistently work for you.

Most of us simply don’t play or practice enough and/or we’re not flexible enough to make a rotational swing like Ben Hogan or to a lesser extent, Steve Stricker.

Therefore we’re forced by our limitations to use our arms and hands more so than most of the touring pros.

It’s been my experience that when I can get a student to forget how he or she is swinging and simply focus on the target, they’ll settle into a comfortable medium that they can repeat over and over within their own set of physical limitations and one that produces good results as they relate to distance and accuracy.

Work with the first drill in The Golf Swing Secret for a couple of practice sessions and after you get warm… as you swing, think of the target or the flight shape you want and not what your swing is doing.

Try to keep the target focused in your mind all the way through impact… this is difficult but can be accomplished and is very very effective.

Try this on short putts first if you want… and you’ll see what I mean… if you can keep the target pictured in your mind through impact, your body will react to that picture (the target) rather then trying to process all the mechanical stuff.

Tony wrote:

Also do you think the release is suppose to be automatic because I see slow motion swings of the pros and you can see their hands turn over.
I don’t feel that in my swing. I hit a lot a pushes & pulls.

My reply:
At impact, the back of your left hand… and the face of the club will face down the target line… beyond that, the rest of the finish is simply a product of what has gone on earlier in the swing.

In a rotational swing like Ben Hogan’s, you’ll notice the right hand doesn’t pass the left until very late in the follow through…

Hogan’s Swing

While a guy like like Bubba Watson who slides his hips laterally using a lot of legs and arms… his hands turn over far quicker…

Bubba’s Swing

The thing both these swings have in common is that they both square the club face to the intended target line at impact.

Bottom line: Find what works for you and forget everyone else. Drill #1 inside The Golf Swing Secret will accomplish this for you if you keep the right mind set and stop fretting over the details.

Hope this helps.

Please feel free to email me anytime. I am happy to help you if I can.

Best regards,

It’s amazing what you can accomplish in a very short period of time if you have good information to work with and a mind clear of mechanical thoughts and quick fixes.

Ben,

I play in an after-work golf league for my company. Before purchasing your product, I was playing horribly … and I was considering quitting the game of golf altogether. I just couldn’t seem to hit the ball straight or consistently.

On Saturday and Sunday, I did your first drill with a few buckets of balls at the range. I saw immediate improvement — but, at first, I was a little inconsistent (I topped the ball and hit some weak shots occasionally). However, after a while, I got in a good groove of hitting the ball with good contact down and straight.

On Monday after work, I played my weekly league match. As it turned out, I played yesterday in a foursome with the best player in the league. Off the tee, I hit the ball long and straight on 7 out of 9 holes (2 of my shots faded to the right) … including 3 pars! While I didn’t score better than the best player in the league (I still need to work on your short game instruction), I was the most consistent player of our foursome off the tee during the 9-hole round. Considering my previous play, everyone was amazed (especially me).

Anyway, I just wanted to drop a note to say thanks. Usually after a round of golf, I have felt frustrated and dejected because I couldn’t achieve any consistency. Yesterday, I felt exhilarated — and was able to enjoy the experience. In a nutshell, your lessons have really helped!

Best regards,

Bill K
bill_k_jr@XXXXX.com

If you’re fed up with confusing mechanical concepts, endless band aid fixes and frustration…. then how about trying a different path… try

Hello everyone,

I was out playing golf last Friday with a group of friends and none of us had touched a club in 8 – 10 weeks due to the holidays and the cold snap we’ve endured. Having said that, everyone was struggling along… myself included. Yes I know it’s hard to believe, lol, but there weren’t many solid shots hit in our group. I did manage to shoot 78 mainly due to missing the ball in play and some pretty good putting. Now 78 ain’t great but it’s better than the 90+ scores all my single digit friends put up.

INSERT SHAMELESS PLUG HERE => The Golf Swing Secret will help you hit longer, more accurate shots and shoot lower scores even with limited time to play and/or practice. It’s true and it works.

Ok so here’s the putting tip I promised… If you’re struggling to make short putts of 5-6 feet or less then try this: Set up as you normally would then before you begin your stroke, simply move the putter head backward away from the ball 3 – 5 inches. Take one last look at the hole with the putter head in it’s new position 3-5 inches behind the ball and stroke the putt. You don’t have to practice it… if you find yourself struggling making those putts, just do it.

I told my buddy Jose this on the 10th green Friday because he was putting horribly. He was decelerating into his putts and pulling every one with a short choppy motion. This tip put him in position to make a decent transition from back swing to forward swing even if his motion was a little quick. It also forced him to accelerate into the ball. Voila.. no more pulls! Try it for yourself. If you’re struggling to make the short ones, this will help you.

Funny thing is he sank a 7 footer on #10 and then asked me why I had him do it. I, in turn, asked him if it works what difference do the mechanics make… just keep doing it. Don’t worry with the why because the result is what matters most!

Forced to simply trust that it would work even after seeing it for himself, he simply reverted back and never tried it again muttering something about working on it before using it on the course.

Here’s the observation: Decent players with some knowledge of the game are the hardest players of all to teach because they think they know how. They have a preconceived notion of right and wrong and don’t easily let go of what they perceive to be the “proper” way to play a particular shot. They’ve learned to play the game mechanically and not visually so they have a really hard time getting out of their own way even if getting out of their own way means better results and lower scores. And yet, give any of them a ping pong paddle and they’ll swat that little ball right out of the air wherever it is they want it to go because they’re playing visually… the eyes are telling the hands and body what they need to do to hit the ball to the target and it really is amazing but it works!

Think about that for a moment. If you’re looking to break 100, break 90 or even break 80 this year… Trust what your eyes tell you… don’t worry about the why or the mechanics or what the swing looks like or whether you’re a one planer or a two planer… Who cares? Find something that works for YOU and just do it!

Results are all that matter… Nobody asks how, they ask how many?

I got this note today from a very nice man named James. I feel that there are many, many players out there who find themselves stuck in this or a similar situation as it relates to improving your golf swing and score. I only share because I want you to know that you are not the only one and there is definitely help available if you’re willing to let go of the norm and try something a little different.

My handicap is still high 90s and my dream is to break 90 consistently.
Do you think your system (The Golf Swing Secret) can really help me to make my dream come true?

Please tell me honestly.

Here’s my reply… and let me preface this by saying that the same offer is open to anyone else who is willing to try.

Hi James,

I hear stories like yours all the time. The problem is not you but in how you’ve gone about learning the game. Now I’m not claiming that I can make you a scratch player in 2 weeks or anything like that but if you take to heart the concepts that I teach, YOU WILL IMPROVE! I have no doubt in my mind that you’ll improve and you’ll begin to see that improvement quickly. Most players see improvement in their first 30 minute practice session.

I focus on simplicity. It’s impossible to focus on your target when you’re focused on your foot work, back swing, your head, or some other mechanical thought or process. The target is where it’s at. The Golf Swing Secret really is simple to understand and easy to apply in your game but you have to take a step out and forget all the mechanical junk that you’ve been fed over the years.

Let’s say, for example, that you’re in your kitchen making a snack while watching The Masters on TV. You spill a bit of soda on the counter and grab a paper towel to wipe it up. Now, if your garbage can is open and in sight, I guarantee that you can wad that towel up and toss it into the can without batting an eye. Without even thinking about it, you just used your eyes to tell your body what to do. You never consciously thought..” okay I’ve got to wad this up and then cock my elbow and then…” you get the picture? The same concept will work in golf. If you can see the target and focus on reacting to it, you can play golf and play well without a lot of practice or playing time.

Now let me also say in full disclosure that if you’re looking to play the senior tour or if you’re a standout junior player seeking a life on one of the tours, then it’s imperative that you learn proper mechanics early on and hone them to a razor’s edge but even at that level… you should drill mechanics in practice only and forget them when playing the game. I think many of the young guys make this mistake now and never fully reach their full potential because of it. Think about Sergio Garcia. He plays beautifully tee to green even with an odd motion but when he’s putting, you can almost hear the gears grinding as he struggles. He’s thinking something other than target. Bet your life on it. Playing any shot should be a reactionary process rather than a mechanical one. Think how quickly your brain and subsequently your body react to ball and target in a game like Ping Pong or Tennis. It’s amazing really and I’ve never understood nor will I ever understand why instructors teach golf mechanically. If you can see it, you can do it!

Anyway, my system consists of two VERY simple drills that if you’ll use them as I describe will help you greatly.

I would urge you to try The Golf Swing Secret, put aside any preconceived notions of what or how you should practice and where your focus should be. Try it as long as you like. If you don’t see improvement and have more fun playing the game, simply shoot me a note to Ben@TheGolfSwingSecret.com and I’ll refund your money!

Wishing you great success and lots of fun in the days and years to come,

Tiger Woods and The Big Mistake

We all know about Tiger’s recent mishaps and all the trouble that’s swirling around the greatest player in the world. There are as many opinions and commentaries on his current location, condition and mental state as there are pundits to talk about them but this is not the big mistake that I want to discuss with you today.

The big mistake to which I’m referring is the dreaded snowman, triple bogies, quadruple bogies… you know the ones where you fan your ball into the water or worse than that, out of bounds and run up a number that completely destroys your mental state and your round. Everyone’s done it and I think we can all agree that we’d like to avoid it in future if possible. BUT HOW?

I was watching the PGA Tour Qualifying School Tournament on The Golf Channel a couple of weeks ago and the kid who was leading was playing some outstanding golf. He was interviewed before the final round and asked what his strategy was going to be since he was playing with the lead and his tour card virtually assured. The way he answered surprised me and really made me think which is why I’m sharing this with you today.

He said: “I’m just going to go out and play the best I can and try to avoid the big mistake.” I thought to myself… “How in the world can you be leading that tournament and still thinking about making a big mistake?” This is exactly the type thinking that prevents touring professionals from closing the deal on Sunday and prevents you from breaking 90 or 80 after shooting your career best on the front nine. You suddenly get focused on not making the big mistake rather than focused on hitting one shot at a time into the target area.

It’s impossible to focus on your target and the swing required to hit the ball to it and think at the same time “Don’t hit it left” or “Don’t hit it right” or “Don’t be short”.

Trying not to make the big mistake will only serve to distract you from your true goal of hitting your target with your golf ball.

Now that doesn’t mean that I’m advocating gambling on every hole and shooting at every flag because I’m not. What I am advocating is that you forget where you don’t want to your shot to finish and instead focus your attention on where you do want your ball to finish. Where you want your ball to finish may be the center of the green or the right side of the fairway… it can be a very conservative location if you so choose but never think “DON’T”… always think DO… Pick your target and hit it there and forget trying NOT to make the big mistake and I guarantee you’ll hit better shots and shoot consistently lower scores no matter your current level of play.

Everyone is going to make some mistakes and when you do, take your lumps and move on but I guarantee you’ll make far less mistakes by focusing on what you want to accomplish rather then what you want to avoid when you’re on the golf course.

I can guarantee you that Tiger Woods never worries about making the “big mistake” at least not on the golf course anyway!

I hope you achieve your goals this year and play your best golf ever.

With my best regards,
